A small firm that shows up everywhere
Gregory P. Shugar founded the firm in the early 2000s, and it has since grown into one of New Jersey's busiest municipal court practices while staying deliberately small.
That combination is the point. Because the practice runs at volume, our attorneys are in municipal courtrooms across the state every week, so they know the courts, the prosecutors, and what a realistic outcome looks like before your case is ever called. And because the firm stays small, you deal with an attorney rather than a case manager. The lawyer you meet at the consultation is the one standing next to you in court.
The way we work is not complicated. The consultation is free, the assessment is straight (including when the honest answer is that you don't need us), most municipal matters get a clear flat fee, and then we take the court dates. You get updates at every step. From our office in Mount Holly, steps from the Burlington County courts, we defend clients statewide: traffic tickets, DWI, drug charges, restraining orders, expungements, and criminal matters through every level of court.
We also handle municipal courts throughout New Jersey, Superior Courts statewide, and Pennsylvania matters where our attorneys are admitted.
